chances of our dog having a successful recovery from parvo?

our dog got sick over the weekend so on monday we took him to the vet. Where they discovered he had Parvo. They kept him over night and put on an I.V. we brought him home yesterday with his medication. He hasn't vomitted or had any dirreah yet. I think he's improving but naturally Im still concerned. If anyone has any information that will help me please let me know. My dog is half St. Bernard and half Husky. Im not positive how old he is but Im almost positive his around 5 months old. .

Usually the chances of the dog surviving with home treatment is about 30 to 40% and the chances of survival at the hospital is about 80 to 90%. If he is improving already then i wouldnt worry. They usually get way worse before they start getting better. Continue what you are doing and if he continues to keep improving then you are out of the clear. It also depends on how sick the puppy was when you first took him in. If he was just starting to have problems when you took him then most likely he will recover pretty quick. Hope your puppy gets better!
