In August I lost my baby schnauzer due to Parvo virus. I've looked it up on the internet many times since then and have only found symptoms of Parvo, not what it does to the dogs body. What happens to the stomach and such? I know that it vomits and such. That's not what I'm asking. Thanks to those who answer my questions.
Answer
In a nutshell, the virus attacks the lymph nodes, intestines, and the bone marrow. What goes on inside the dog is the virus attacks the intestines severely. That causes septicemia, (blood poisoning caused by fecal matter going into the blood stream) also leading to death. It's very common down here in Georgia, I see it far to often. Sorry for the death of your pet.
