my dog was in a the animal hospital for 3 weeks because he got parvo. We just got him back today, he weighs like half of what he used to weigh and he has a very sensitive stomach. Every time he eats, he throws it up or wants to. what can i feed him that will be filling (because he really needs to gain weight) and that will be easy on his stomach? Okay wait, regular white rice and chicken? Like the kind people eat? That's the kind I should feed him? Or should I buy canned chicken with rice for dogs?

I agree make him some boiled white rice with chicken (also boiled and chopped up). You can store that in the fridge for a few days. Warm it to room temp at least before serving, it is a shock to the stomach to give cold food. After a few days try to introduce the dry kibble by adding a little bit to the mixture of chicken and rice. Wellness makes Simple Solutions. Purina makes Pro Plan Senstive Skin and Stomach to name a couple brands to check out.
