How long on average for treatment of Parvo in puppies.?

I have a 12 week old Boxer pup, got him two and half weeks ago. I was told he had his first 2 sets of shots so I went for his third on Monday but wanted to check him out first because he wasn't feeling well for two days. They said he had gardia and didn't give him shots. I went home and he didn't seem right to me so I took him back yesterday and had a parvo test. He's positive for that so I got an electrolyte solution for dogs and amoxicilian for him. He throws up every few hours but is still peeing and hasn't pooped since yesterday but he hasn't ate either so that's good.

I'm wondering if anyone who has been through this could give me any advice on this. also, on average how many days it could be before him showing some improvement with treatments. He basically sleeps and throws up but I put the solution back in him right afterwards and every hour. Thanks. Just mentioning he has been throwing up since monday morning and it's Thursday night and I've been giving him the antibiotics, which is actually 2 kinds, and the electrolyte solution and he hasn't thrown up in almost 4 hours and before that it was 7 hours. He did have dark red diarrhea this morning. He has peed twice and drank almost half a cup of water from the bowl himself. He is showing improvement. He also wags his tail when my husband comes home from work and walk around every once in a while. 1 week tops. If no signs of improvement by then take him/her back to the vet. I once had a puppie that had come down with parvo, I could not afford to take him to the vet, but a friend of mine knew a vet. and I was able to ask him how I cold help my dog. He told me to force gatorade, and pepto bismol down his throat twice aday, three days later he was fit as a fiddle. I
