We have wild coyotes running through the neighborhood i just wonder if thats where the virus came from? .

Well any dog could spread it. You can get it spread from the tires of your car, if you were parked someplace contaminated. There is a parvo 2c going around, and treatments are not working well with it, so if you think your dog has parvo, rush it to the vet.
