Puppies have worms, they always do, always will. Clean up after her when she goes and use a sanitizer like bleach. Your dogs should not get the worms unless ingested. I believe hookworms can burrow into the skin, but it would be uncommon for that to happen. It is also best to have your personal dogs on a monthly wormer, which is usually included in most heartworm medications. I foster dogs, and most of them come to me with worms. Sometimes I do not clean up right away because i can't or i didn't know the dog went. My dogs have never contracted the worms but they are also on monthly wormers, (interceptor, heartguard) Your pup will need to be dewormed at least twice maybe three times.
