MY PUPPY 4 MONTH OLD PUPPY JUST DIED OF PARVO I HAVE AN 11 MONTH OLD DOG IN MY YARD TOOO HE HAS HIS PARVO SHOOT BUT CAN HEE STILL GET PARVO I HERD PARVO STAYS IN THE AREA FOR A LONG TIME IS THIS TRUE .

Parvovirus is EVIL, but mainly to younger pups like your 4 month old and elderly dogs.. YES, your 11 month old will probably get it..But at 11 months, his immune system is well established to deal with it... I'm soooo sorry about your baby.. :-( When your other dog starts to show symptoms, you'll notice they aren't nearly as severe as they were with the baby...He'll be really sick for a few days, but he'll get over it rather quickly.. The upside ? Once a dog gets over parvo, their immune system won't let them get it again.. :-) A very high nutritional treat for a dog dealing with something like parvo is raw egg yolk (please discard the white) mixed with a tad bit of honey...And hydration is a must...Put a little bit of milk in his water if you have to to get him to drink.
